Tech: Apple Laptop startup problems

If you are experiencing problems starting your iBook or Powerbook, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take before bringing the laptop in for service. You can try resetting the PRAM and/or PMU in the laptop. Here is an Apple documentation that goes through some of these troubleshooting tips.
